The Blacklist Season 8 Episode 7: Release Date, What to Expect & Watch Online

The eighth season of NBC crime thriller series The Blacklist returned this January with its third episode. The season is trying to go stronger than ever by getting Elizabeth Keen on the villain side. The promo for the seventh episode, at least suggests that. If so, the rest of the season will take a brand new swing.

About The Blacklist

The Blacklist revolves around Raymond “Red” Reddington, an ex-Navy Intelligence Officer turned fugitive. He surrenders to the FBI Assistant Director Harold Cooper and later offers to help him track down the criminals he had involved with. These criminals are so dangerous and elusive that the Government does not know they exist.

Red helps Cooper on two conditions, the first being immunity from charges. The second condition is to work with Elizabeth “Liz” Keen, who is newly assigned under Cooper. Together, they track down the criminals in Red’s ‘blacklist’. The series also unfolds the lives of Red and Liz as they keep investigating on different criminals.

What Could Happen in Episode 7?

Season 8 has been showing Liz going more villainous with every episode. Initially trying to uncover the secrets of Red, she faces the death of her mother. The loss pushes her to the point that she tries to murder Red. After being put on the blacklist, she now decides to go rogue. We did not see her in episodes 5 and 6 but she seems to resurface now.

Apparently refocusing on Liz, the seventh episode seems to make Liz take another step. As she is trying to get Red’s former associates kill him, she would be recruiting two blacklisters. One person she could reach out is Alexander Kirk, who mentioned once he loved Katarina. If Liz tells him that Red killed her, he could ally with her to avenge.

Another thing that could happen is that Cooper could get suspicious of Red. The thumb drive Liz gave to him could show Red as a traitor or a double agent. While it is still uncertain what Red is actually up to, this could certainly make Cooper reconsider his alliance.
