It casts Andrew Garfield, Alexandra Shipp, Vanessa Hudgens, Robin de Jesús, Joshua Henry, Bradley Whitford, and Judith Light. The premise of the movie shows an aspiring theatre composer who experiences a midlife crisis as he nears 30 and does not seem close to his dream.

According to reports from the Fox Searchlight segment, Andrew Garfield and Jessica Chastain will play the role of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker.
