Harrison Ford is going to return as Indiana Jones for his final adventure! For the longest time, fans wondered if there would ever be a sequel and it almost seemed unlikely. However, Disney finally confirms that this will be the fifth and final adventure for Indiana Jones. Along with the iconic Harrison Ford, it seems that Brad Pitt will also make an appearance in the film!

Release And Production Dates
On Thursday, Disney announced that the final film will release on the month of July 2022. The film is still in the pre-production phase and hence, for now, we will refer to it as ‘Indiana Jones 5’. The film will begin its production this spring and hopefully, we’ll see it out in theatres by 2022.
Casting: Everything We Know
Steven Spielberg, the mastermind behind the first four films of the franchise, will not return as director. His position is taken over by James Mangold, director of ‘Ford vs, Ferrari’. James is seemingly the ideal fit which according to Frank Marshall (Producer of the film), “His love of the franchise. He’s a wonderful filmmaker. I think he also has a relationship with Harrison. It was all of the right pieces coming together, at the right time.” The crew indeed has the best of everything!
Without a doubt, Harrison Ford will return as Indiana Jones and reportedly, Brad Pitt will make an appearance too. It’s hard to replace Harrison Ford’s position but it’s important to note that the star is nearly 78 years old! Knowing that he would want to return as the famed archaeologist, is pretty awesome. Let’s hope that he stays in good health and will be able to successfully complete the project!
As for the other casts in the film, we can’t be too sure if they’ll return!
The Plot
We’re probably as clueless as you are! We know that the film is after Crystal Skull and have an older Harrison Ford playing Indy in a different light. That should be exciting!
