Cody back in 2012 did a video interview in which he revealed that Miley was his childhood celebrity crush and he knows all the words of all the songs of Miley and is ok with admitting this.
They have always been great friends. Miley and Simpson go way back, as it is apparent from the above statement.
Cut to 2019
Miley broke up with her girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, (the Hills star). It was a short-lived relationship.
She started seeing Carter, after her marriage with Lian Hemsworth ended. She has been friends with Carter too and they were each other’s support when they were both getting separated from their respective partners.
In October of 2019, TMZ released a video of Simpson and Miley kissing at some random place called Backyard Bowl eatery. And the relationship just blows in the public domain.
Afterward, Miley confirms her relationship with Simpson through Instagram. They faced a lot of backlash for the relationship as the public thought she moved on quickly.
Which she answered with this tweet,’’ I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it thru from the beginning….I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up…but I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”

Cody also took to Instagram to share pictures of himself and Miley with a lot of PDA. He also wrote a sexy love poem on his poetry handle named Prince Neptune for Miley.
From going strength to strength for some months, the relationship started fraying in the public domain again. And just like that, the relationship fizzled out.
