Spiderman 3 has already become one of the most anticipated movies for 2021. The filming was about t start in July 2020, however, that couldn’t happen due to the coronavirus pandemic. Tom Holland, who will reprise his titular role, confirmed that the principal shooting has begun in October 2020. The major news surrounding the third Spiderman film has been the return of Jamie Foxx’s Electro. Foxx previously portrayed the electrical creature back in 2014 in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
With Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange also joining the cast, fans started assuming a possible multiverse, or Spider-verse story. There have been rumours that the previous actors — Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire — who portrayed Spiderman may return to the third Spiderman film. Since Electro is going to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the non-MCU universe, we can’t deny the appearance of Garfield and Maguire in the upcoming film.
Zendeya almost revealed the details about Spiderman 3
Zendeya, who will reprise her role as MJ in the third film, couldn’t confirm or deny the appearance of Maguire and Garfield in the upcoming film. Euphoria actress recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and talked about a lot of stuff, which included Spiderman 3. She told Kimmel that everything was so secretive regarding the third movie. Soon then, Kimmel asked a question that whole Spiderman fandom has been asking. He asked whether the number 3 in the title is because there would be three actors portraying Spiderman.
Zendeya quickly responded mentioning that she can neither confirm nor deny Kimmel’s question. Kimmel, in his way, tried multiple times to trap Zendeya to drop a few hints, but the actress didn’t speak more. The 24-year-old was impressed that Kimmel almost got her to spill the beans, but she mentioned that she cannot reveal much about it. Looks like the Marvel Studios want to keep several things under wraps. Reports even claimed that Marvel actors receive training to dodge media’s clever questions.
As for now, the Marvel Studios are planning to release the third film on Dec 17, 2021.
