Robert Downey Jr. is Selected to host 2020 Green Carpet Fashion Awards

WHAT IS GREEN CARPET AWARDS?

The event recognizes the overwhelming efforts of all the individuals and teams to create a more healthy and Eco-friendly campus. The event is innovative and solution-based. It is the celebration of all the sustainability leaders at Harvard. It awards all the key projects that contribute to greenhouse or energy reductions cross-campus.

This year the event will be celebrated on YouTube channel of the fashion channel. It will take place on 10th October in UK, Italy, Germany and 25th October for Australia. The green carpet fashion award has secured the very famous Hollywood actor and an Academy Award Nominee to present the opening and closing of the event on YouTube. Robert Downy Jr. has been tapped to host the YouTube broadcast this year. Downy is the founder of FootPrint coalition, an initiative to use AI technology against pollution. Keeping in mind the current pandemic conditions, the event will be a little laid back with only five awards being handed out. But it will take place in its usual venue Milan’s La Scala Opera House.

The awards for the last couple of years took place at the tail end of Milan fashion week. As reported, they will be filmed using special effects this time. moreover, directed by Grammy Nominated Giorgio Testi, who has worked with many bands and artists before. A good number of celebrities are expected to appear through the holographic telepresence. The event will combine cinematic footage with a fusion of AR and visual FX created using real-time engines.

The current pandemic has changed the whole outlook, with technology we are moving forward too.
