The Wait Ends. Intel has Announced it’s 11th Gen Tiger Lake Processor, And We Won’t have To Wait Long To Experience It!

For a while now, there has been an air of mystery around the new Intel Processor. This upcoming processor will be the 11th Gen, Tiger Lake processor. The integrated Xe graphics is bound to give this processor a leg-up against the AMD in the ultra-thin, high performance, laptop market.
Intel announced its upcoming processor on the 2nd of September during a virtual conference. The virtual conference, “Something Big” is the reason we have this news! Back in August 2020, Intel has been teasing us with little sneak peeks of the chip. The company previewed the chip during the Architecture Day 2020. There have been a few updates regarding the ‘Intel’ brand as well. Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of the upcoming processor, we shall dive into the new updated logo.

Intel’s Updated Logo

Intel is now long due for a new logo. Intel added its well known “swoosh” to its logo back in 2006. Now the company has dropped the oval “swoosh” that we know, love and are familiar with. This new logo features a cleaner look and a cleaner font.

“Today, we make a leap into the future, with a transformed Intel brand that reflects our essential role in creating technology that moves the world forward,” wrote Karen Walker, Intel SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, in a blog post about the change.

Intel Xe Promises Choicer Graphics To Boost Gaming

It is a fact the Intel’s rival, AMD leads the market when it comes to raw core count in mobile processors. Intel is betting that the upcoming Tiger Lake processor will be much more suitable than the current winner, AMD Ryzen 4000 which can have up to 8 cores operating at 4.1 GHz. Tiger Lake will be a perfect fit for those people whose jobs demand their laptops to perform heavy real-life tasks like video editing.

During the event, Intel proved its new processors with by showing multiple head-to-head comparisons. During Intel’s demo using the Gear Tactics Game, the 11th Gen chip delivered a higher frame rate than either the AMD or the Nvidia/10th Gen Intel chip combo.

Intel Evo Laptops Coming in Fall 2020

Intel announced the Intel Evo platform brand. This processor has been specifically designed for ultrathin, and high-performance laptops. Not all laptops will be able to carry the Intel Evo, only the laptops which have met the key experience indicators will be allowed to carry the intel Evo badge. Those (KEI’s) Key Experience indicators are:

  1. Wake up from sleep in less than 1 second.
  2. Consistent responsiveness from a battery
  3. Full HD display with 9+ hours of real-world battery life.
  4. 4+ hours of battery life with a 30-minute charge and a full HD display.

The Intel Evo’s KEI’s motivate laptop manufacturers to manufacture laptops in alignment to its KEI’s so that their laptops paired with Intel’s EVO fulfils every demand and aspiration of a user. Including their day to day tasks or some of the more challenging and heavier tasks.

As a publication, Intel Evo’s partners include Asus, Acer, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer and Samsung. The new Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 5G is set to have the Intel Evo which will be the new 5G Intel Evo laptop.
