Apple Inc. has confirmed the arrival of another next-generation gadget, The Apple Glass, in the coming future. Ever since the company dropped the hint, several Apple enthusiasts began exploring and assuming hoe the next-gen wearable look like. The augmented reality glasses are certainly coming, but surely not this year.
The previous rumours suggested a potential 2020 release date, but things changed due to the ongoing health crisis. The Cupertino had to delay the launch of the much-awaited flagship phone, iPhone 12, mainly due to coronavirus pandemic. Sources close to Apple Inc. confirmed that the company will release AirPods Studio and Apple Watch Series 6, later this year apart from iPhone 12.
The development of the futuristic wearable is already underway. However, there are multiple confusing reports regarding the release date. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, whose reports have always been reliable. claims that the company isn’t planning to release Apple Glass until 2023. Meanwhile, a renewed Apple reporter and leaker confirmed that the wearable will arrive by 2022.

Sources have deduced the augmented reality framework in Apple’s various reports and text documents. This strongly suggests that the guys at Cupertino are really into developing Apple Glass. Several other reports suggest that the company has been testing the activations of the same framework multiple times. Apple Glass is set to run on the popular Starboard. Starboard is basically an operating system (or glassOS) that was discovered in the final version of iOS 13.
A recently discovered Apple patent revealed that the new next-gen wearable may feature the audio-based direction, but without spoken navigation. Furthermore, the other patent revealed that the user can change the background on the fly – similar to Zoom. Jon Prosser, a well-know leaker has dropped many reports regarding the release and pricing of the upcoming wearable.
According to Prosser, we don’t have to wait till 2023 to get our hands on the Apple Glass. He reported that the first-generation Apple Glasses could arrive next year. Prosser mentioned that Apple is planning for March-June 2021 launch date. Apple Glasses price may start at at $499, which we way cheaper than its competitor products like the Microsoft Hololens 2 and Vuzix Blade.
