Yazmin Oukhellou said she desperately tried to wake up her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean after the terrible car accident in Turkey that killed him. However, he was unresponsive.
The TOWIE star said she was “torn apart by grief” over Jake. Furthermore, she talked about how horrible people have been to her for moving on with her life.
What happened that took Jake’s life?
Jake, a 33-year-old businessman, died instantly on July 3 in Bodrum, Turkey. The blue Mercedes E class saloon fell off a mountain road and into a ravine. Yazmin, who was in the passenger seat, was seriously hurt.

What did Yazmin Oukhellou say in the interview?
Yazmin Oukhellou told The Sun, “I tried to wake Jake up, but he wouldn’t wake up.” I tried to use my foot to sound the horn, but I couldn’t get close enough.
” I knew I had to get out of the car, and I found the strength to free my arm by lifting it with my left hand and moving my right arm up and down for what seemed like forever until I snapped it free.
She then found a man on the road who helped her. However, Yazmin told the paramedics that she “knew in her gut” that he was gone when they arrived.
“They told me they were taking him to another hospital and kept telling me he was alive and fine,” she said. “I think it was because they didn’t want to worry me any more.”
She now wonders why she lived and he didn’t. She said she was angry that he was dead, but she was still alive.
Yazmin Oukhellou is now getting therapy for her anxiety. At first, she thought she would never be able to get over it or “unseen what she saw.”
What did the investigators find on the site?
Investigators have found that the car flew about 70 feet over a left turn bend. The car landed almost 30 feet below in a ravine. The crash happened around 4:30 in the morning.
Jake was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. While Yazmin Oukhellou was rushed to the hospital to care for her hurt arm.
After the accident, she climbed through thick, thorny bushes to get a passing driver’s attention so she could ask for help. On the day of Jake’s funeral, Yazmin broke her silence on social media by writing, “I’ve been away from social media for a while so I can fully focus on my mental and physical recovery.”
