Top Offensive NBA Teams Last Season

The 2022-2023 NBA regular season is right around the corner and the season begins in less than two months from now though. There were a lot of interesting NBA stats from the 2021-2022 regular season and we will see what transpires in that department for the upcoming 2022-2023 NBA regular season though.

NBA team stats are posted on many different websites and it is always cool to research about it. Who were some of the best teams in the NBA offensively from last season though?

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves had the best offense in the NBA a season ago at averaging 115.9 PPG though. Minnesota was the seventh seed in the Western Conference and they are only going to get better from here. The Timberwolves have nice talent on the roster.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the team in scoring last season with 24.6 PPG. He is one of the big men in the NBA and Towns has some expanded range with his game. Towns will be very prolific offensively in 2022-2023 for Minnesota. He played in 74 games last season for the Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards is a rising star in the NBA. He averaged 21.3 PPG a season ago, but Edwards is ready to be scoring 25-26-27 PPG next season. He is going to be potentially an All-Star for the Western Conference next season. Anthony Edwards played in 72 games last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

D’Angelo Russell averaged 18.1 PPG last season for the Timberwolves. He played in 65 games. Russell will be a solid scorer for Minnesota once again this season for head coach Chris Finch.

Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies had the second most points per game in the NBA last season at 115.6 PPG under head coach Taylor Jenkins. Memphis shocked a lot of the NBA last season and they were the number two seed in the Western Conference before losing to the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Ja Morant only played in 57 games last season due to injury for Memphis, but if he can play a full season, Morant can be an MVP candidate. Morant was very flashy and a hot commodity in the NBA last season and averaged 27.4 PPG. He averaged nearly 10 more points per game on the team than the second guy on the roster.

Dillon Brooks only appeared in 32 games last season for the Grizzlies but averaged 18.4 PPG. Brooks is a winger and will be helpful more this season.

Desmond Bane is one of the most underrated wings in the NBA and played in 76 games last season for Memphis. He averaged 18.2 PPG last season. Bane is only going to get better with time with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks scored the third most points per game in the NBA last season at 115.5 PPG. Milwaukee was the number three seed in the Eastern Conference last season before losing to the Boston Celtics in seven games in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Bucks head coach is Mike Budenholzer.

To no surprise, Giannis Antetokounmpo was their leading scorer last season at 29.9 PPG. He is by far the best player in Milwaukee and maybe even in the NBA. Antetokounmpo has already won two MVPs in his NBA career and may win some more before it is all over with. He only played in 67 games last season.

Khris Middleton only played in 66 games last season. He was missed big time in the postseason. Middleton averaged 20.1 PPG last season for the Milwaukee Bucks. He is one of the most underrated offensive players in the NBA because he can create his own shot off the dribble.

Jrue Holiday played in 67 games last season for Milwaukee. He averaged 18.3 PPG last season. Holiday is known more for his shutdown defense in the NBA for the Milwaukee Bucks.
