Netflix releases new series on a serial killer “Jeffery Dahmer”

The upcoming Netflix show Monster: The Jeffery Dahmer Story, played by Evan Peters of the X-Men. The first trailer for the show came out on Friday. Between 1978 and 1991, he killed 17 people.

At the trailer’s beginning, we see Dahmer bring one of his victims to his house. Soon, the person realizes something is extraordinary about the whole place. Niecy Nash plays Dahmer’s neighbor, who starts to get suspicious of him.

The eight-part drama series tells the story of the notorious American serial killer from Jeffrey Dahmer’s point of view. Evan Peters plays Dahmer, and the series shows how he always got away with his crime even after being almost caught at least ten times. This was mainly because he was white, and the police let him down.

Ryan Murphy is working again with Ian Brennan, a writer and producer who helped him make hits like Glee, Scream Queens, and The Politician. So get ready for some terrible things to happen. The miniseries differs from other crime dramas. As it says, it will tell the story from the victims’ points of view instead of the criminal’s.

During the investigation, the Wisconsin Police were also accused of being biased against black people. So, the series also looks at how their system as a whole failed.

What is a story of Jeffery Dahmer?

“Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Dahmer brutally killed seventeen innocent people,” says the official summary of the limited series. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is a series that shows these horrible crimes. It focuses on the victims and their communities who were hurt by the systemic racism and institutional failures of the police, which “allowed one of America’s most notorious serial killers to continue his killing spree in plain sight for over a decade.”

Ryan Murphy, known for American Horror Story, and Ian Brennan, known for The Politician and Hollywood, came up with the idea for the show and consequently are also its executive producers. The other actors in the limited series are Richard Jenkins, Penelope Ann Miller, Molly Ringwald, and Michael Learned.

The serial killer shows on Netflix are some of its most popular, and this miniseries is the latest to join them. Over the years, the streaming giant has built a reputation for putting out good content in the genre, like Mind Hunter, Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer, Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, and The Serpent.

Monster: The story of Jeffery Dahmer will be on Netflix starting September 21.
