Snap launches the Snapchat+ subscription service in India on Wednesday. The platform provides users access to a bunch of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features. Plus users will be able to get prioritized support from the Snapchat team.
The messaging platform has packed six exclusive features at the launch which are Rewatch indicator, Badge, Custom app icons, Best friends forever, Ghost trails on Snap Map, and Solar system. It is believed that these new features would enhance the user experience and provide them with customized features.
Snapchat+ exclusive features
Indian subscribers get a new Snapchat+ badge for their profile with a Star designation. This is the indication that the user has subscribed to the service. This feature is turned off by default and can be selected manually. It also includes a pack of home screen icons that will help you to customize the look of the Snapchat icon.
The subscribers will get access to the Solar System — a special badge for the Friendship Profile. Users can also pin one of their friends as their number one best friend.
The platform also includes a pack of home screen icons. You can access these icons to customize the appearance of the Snapchat icons.
Users can also track the number of people who are rewatching their stories in the My Story Management section. However, this feature does not reveal the specific names of the other users.
The Ghost Trail feature for Snap Map can show subscribers the general direction of travel for where their friends have moved recently. It is similar to the existing “Map Moves” Snap Map feature which appears when a friend has recently traveled.
Snapchat+ Subscription Pricing
You can purchase a Snapchat subscription in India through the Snapchat app for Rs. 49 per month. The 100 million-plus Snapchat community in India will now be able to access exclusive features by subscribing. Snap had already launched this paid service in the US for $3.99 (roughly Rs. 320) a month.
