The medusa devices are the modern artificial intelligence that ossified the human race thousands of years ago. Now we know why Whyman was conscious of the Kingdom of Science’s emergence.
The entire time, Senku’s enemy was closer than he knew, and he had completely no sign about it. The medusa devices concentrate more on living and surviving like any other living organism. So, it’s easier for Senku to know and understand their needs and somehow find a way of stopping them.
