Zhuo Yifan, the Demon Emperor, is the main protagonist of the story. One day he finds the ancient book “Nine Serenities Secret Scriptures.” He gets targeted by many people. He blows himself up along with the book. He uses one of the “Nine Serenities Secret Scriptures” techniques to separate his soul from his body.
His soul manages to possess the body of a servant boy of the Luo Clan known as Zhuo Fan. After his reincarnation, he loses all the cultivations of his previous life. Now he is the servant of Luo Clan’s young miss Luo Yun-Chang. Three days before Zhuo Fan’s death, the Luo clan was almost demolished when a group of bandits attacked their house. Before his death, Zhuo Fan was accompanying Luo Yun-Chang and Luo Yun-Hai.
Zhuo Fan had a regret of not protecting the Luo Clan which drifted the Demon Emperor’s resentment and allowed him to possess his body. He was devoted to the young miss of the Luo family because she was very kind to him. When he comes back to life, his regret and Demon Emperor’s resentment get fused. It forms a Heart Demon that would haunt him if he is not able to protect the Luo Clan.
