About In the Dark
Murphy is a blind woman in her twenties. She works at “Guiding Hope”, a guide dog training school run by her parents. She has only two friends Jess, her understanding roommate, and Tyson, a teenage drug dealer who saved her from a violent mugging. One day when she was out for a walk with her guide dog Pretzel, she stumbles upon her friend Tyson’s dead body, but it mysteriously disappears before the arrival of the police.
When the police do not seem willing to investigate the case Murphy decides to figure out what happened to her friend. Jess, Felix, and Max accompany her on this thrilling journey. One problem leads to another as they try to solve the mystery of Tyson’s murder.
The storyline is interesting and the acting is on point. Murphy might seem to be rude but her character has many layers. The story takes place in Chicago but is filmed in Toronto.
