Chesapeake Shores features the lives of the O’Brien family. Abby O’Brien, the eldest daughter of the O’Brien family receives a panicked phone call from her sister Jess. Jess is renovating an Inn at Eagle Point. Abby O’Brien Winters returns to Chesapeake Shores to save her sister’s Inn. Abby is a career-focused woman and divorced mother of two children. Years ago she left Chesapeake Shores and her childhood sweetheart Trace for her career. After returning home she rediscovers herself.

In the fifth season of Chesapeake Shores Abby is processing the consequences of kissing her on-and-off ex-boyfriend Trace. She is still dealing with the aftermath of her father’s legal troubles. Jess and David are planning their dream wedding but faces pressure from David’s wealthy parents. Bree returns from England and reconnects with two very different men from her past.
