Snapped is a true crime television series produced by Jupiter Entertainment in the United States. The series highlights high-profile or unusual murder cases involving women. Snapped premiered on Oxygen on August 6, 2004. With 28 seasons and sixteen years in production, it has become the network’s longest-running original series (and two spin-offs). The first and second seasons were narrated by actresses Laura San Giacomo and Ronnie Farer, respectively. Sharon Martin, who has a distinct and prominent oral cadence, took over as narrator in the third season.

About the Show:

Non-fiction stories about people who have committed or murdered, or who have been accused of committing or trying to commit murder, are featured in this series. Frequently, the individual’s spouse is the target.

This show is edited in a documentary style, with a central voice-over narration by actress Jody Flader, as well as interviews with people who have firsthand knowledge of the case, such as law enforcement officials, lawyers, journalists, friends, and family members of both the victims and the accused.

During the series’ existence, a few episodes included male perpetrators, but the majority of episodes featured men who colluded with the lead female perpetrator in the crime.
