The series started as a manga, but after seeing the success of it a television series was adapted by the same name and concept. The series is written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi.

The manga series is published by Shueisha. The manga started in the year 2014 and exactly two years later in 2016 the anime television series started. This series is directed by Kenji Nagasaki, Tomo Okubo and Masahiro Mukai. From 2016 to the present, its already released 5 seasons that consist of a total of 117 episodes. Funimation has the original streaming rights to this series.
