The Late Late Show with James Corden (often referred to as Late Late) is a CBS late-night discussion show hosted by James Corden. The current version of The Late Late Show is the fourth. It is taped in front of a studio audience Monday through Thursday afternoons, during weeks when first-run episodes are set to air at Television City in Los Angeles, California and airs the US from Monday through Friday nights at 12:30 a.m.
While a late-night talk show’s opening monologue is a standard, Corden initially stated that because he is not a stand-up comedian, he would be employing alternatives to the usual joke-heavy monologue.
The show resumed production on March 30, 2020, with Corden hosting from his garage and conversing with his band and guests through Zoom video hookup. On August 10, 2020, Corden returned to a redesigned studio without a guest sofa or a live audience.

The host sits to the left of the guests, as is more common in British talk shows, reversing the standard American structure. Unlike most late-night hosts, Corden sits in a swivel chair rather than behind a desk.
