Invincible Season 1:
The show follows Mark, a 17-year-old teenager, who is the son of the world’s strongest superhero, Omni Man. When he starts to get his powers, he finally begins to learn the truth about his father. As the title of the show suggests, it also shows his transformation into being a powerful hero.
Invincible ended with a battle between Omni Man and Invincible which led to a lot of chaos and destruction and also revealed the truth about Omni Man to the World. Omni Man however does not kill Mark but beats him close to death and leaves the planet. Mark recovers and is shown to be planning to finish high school, while he encounters an alien who warns him how Viltrumite never gives up their plans and would come soon for Earth.
Season 2 Release Date & Other Updates:
The show was renewed for seasons 2 and 3 on 29th April. Therefore there are not many updates yet. The release has not been announced or hinted at either. As there would be much creative work, production, and script to decide, the production would not have started this early. Hopefully, keeping all things in mind the release date might be next year around the second half of the end of the year.

The cast for the new season would most likely be the same, mainly talking about the main cast. Many recurring characters and villains actor could return as well. With every actor reprising their roles. New characters or actors have not been added or announced so far, making it difficult to assume any new additions or rumors.
Invincible Season 2 Plot:
As there are 144 total issues, it is difficult to speculate which story from the comics would the show follow. Season one gives some hint, Omni Man leaves Earth without revealing his destination, did he went to his home planet or conquer another planet? As the alien reveals to Mark, Viltrumite invasion seems a likely possibility for the season 2 plot. Mark would try to be ready for the upcoming attack and defend the planet against them. Season 2 will mostly continue where season 1 ended.
Many other subplots from season one also were left without a proper ending, season two would also follow them. For Example, the Mauler Twins are back in the prison, the Doc Seismic would probably cause more trouble, another infiltrator is the second astronaut who slipped in by using the appearance of the astronaut.
The comics also have more storyline regarding the character and he tries to be a superhero with the title Shapesmith. Titan and the beast would also return as their motives hint more trouble coming. All of this would form some of the storylines for the next season. Robert one of the creators of the comics said the production team has a rough map about the comics and the show. There would also be more seasons coming.
As it only has been almost one and half months since the season announcement, the information about production and storyline is less. More will be updated soon when more is announced.
