Michael Keaton who played the role of Batman back in 1989 has agreed to reprise his role for the 2022 film The Flash. The actor had been putting off playing the role due to the Covid-19 transmission in the UK but now seems to have made up his mind.

Michael Keaton is a 69-year-old actor who is most popularly known for portraying the role of batman back in 1989 in the film Batman and then again in 1992 for the Batman Returns sequel.
The film was said to be a mega-hit. Keaton’s portrayal as Batman changed the way people saw this genre and is the reason behind the success of all the superhero movies that are being made today. In simple words, Michael Keaton paved the path for all the other superheroes.
Although the actor was seen hesitating back in march to reprise his role as Batman, he now has agreed according to TheWrap. Keaton will be returning to his role of Batman after nearly 30 years in the Warner Bros. film ‘The Flash’ alongside Ezra Miller.
What is The Flash going to be About
Despite the lack of plot details, Its director Andy Muschietti is planning a heavily adapted version of the Flashpoint storyline from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson. After years of production, the filmmakers hope to bring the ambitious project to life, which is expected to include multiverse elements and the introduction of all-new heroes to the DCEU.
After Joss Whedon’s Justice League underperformed at the box office and cast doubt on the superhero team’s cinematic future, it’s widely assumed that the film would set the world on a more direct route.
“The Flash meets Batman in parallel dimensions” is the only hint we have about what to expect from the film.
The production of the film was confirmed to have begun on Monday via an Instagram video that the director of the film Andy Muschietti posted. The Flash movie is expected to come out on 4 November 2022.
Who else will be in the cast of The Flash film besides Michael Keaton?
The addition of Keaton to The Flash brings the total number of Batmen in the film to two, with Ben Affleck reprising his role as Bruce Wayne. Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, and Maribel Verd as Barry’s mother, Nora Allen, round out the cast alongside Keaton and Affleck.
Despite the fact that Billy Crudup played Barry’s father in Justice League, Ron Livingston will play Henry Allen in The Flash’s standalone film.
