Konosuba Season 3: Release Date Update 2021, Everything We Know So Far

The storyline of the anime Konosuba revolves around the life of middle-school students. The genre of the anime is ikigai where the person travels in another world and survives in a kind of fantasy parallel world. Konosuba being one of these is full of comedy and depicts sword and wizardry.  

Number of Episodes in previous Seasons-

The anime directed by Takaomi Kanasaki revolves around a boy named Kazuma Sato who is sent to the world of fantasies. Aqua, Megumin and Darkness are the side characters in the anime series. 

The anime series is produced by Rie Ogura and has completed 2 seasons having 10 episodes each. The anime also has 2 OVAs. The movie KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson was released in 2019 which finalized the 5th novel. 

Konosuba Season 3 Release Date 2021-

The Konosuba season 2 was released in the year 2017 and it’s been a year and a half from when the movie God’s blessing the world came out. It was expected that most probably in 2020 the anime production will get a green signal but that never happened. 

The official season for Konosuba has not been announced yet and we don’t know what are the possibilities of the next series to be announced. The deciding factor for an anime producing more sequels is popularity and sales.

The anime Konosuba has already established an impact and because of the voice actors, there’s a huge demand for a new sequel where fans would uncover whether or not Kazuma and Megumin get along.

Additional Information-

Generally, there are no sequels for anime that ends at the conclusion point or the idea is released. The animation has completed 17 of Natsume Akatsuki‘s volumes and the last came out in Japan in 2020.

The anime is less expensive but will cost more for season 3 as the second season did not go well. The production committee is facing a big question that is if the next sequel would be worth making. There’s no update that the anime will start in 2021, we can now shift our hopes to 2022 and wait for some good information to come up.
