Evelyn Yang is the wife of an American Democrat who is running for mayor of New York City. Evelyn married Andrew in 2011. Evelyn was a marketing executive at L’Oreal but then she left the job to be a stay-at-home mother. She has 2 sons.
Evelyn likes to stay low-key, unlike her husband who is always in the eyes of the media. But last year Evelyn decided to open up about her emotional and traumatic past. She talked about how she was sexually abused in an interview with CNN.

She opened up publically on how she was sexually assaulted by her obstetrician-gynecologist in 2012 while pregnant with the couple’s first child.
She told, “I didn’t tell anybody what happened,” Evelyn Yang told CNN’s Dana Bash in a meet that got publicized “I thought, ‘This happened to me. I can handle this. I can bargain with it. I can compartmentalize it.”
The only reason she came out publically after 8 long years was that once a lady wrote a letter to Evelyn on how her husband motivated her to press sexual assault charges against one of her company’s investors, as per the CNN reports.
Evelyn on Her Marriage
The couple met each other at Columbia University’s Campus and ever since they are happily together. Although being busy with his electoral campaign Andrew takes time for his family and spends the night out watching movies and going about to dinners, trips etc.
Evelyn has been a supportive wife in her husband’s campaign. She spoke about his work on Washington Post saying, “When he gets to be a man on a mission, he gets exceptionally enlivened and enthusiastic around it, and there’s truly no halting him and the truth is, I didn’t know how distant he would get.
“But I accepted in what he was attempting to accomplish.” “There’s nothing to do but to be strong and supportive.”
