Nick Jonas exits ‘The Blacksmith’ Due to Scheduling Issues

Nick Jonas will not be a part of the upcoming action-thriller Blacksmith’. The American actor-singer, who was all set to star in the upcoming project of Taken director Pierre Morel, has decided to leave the venture due to scheduling issues.

As per the news reports, Jonas was cast to play the role of Wes Loomis, the title character. Originally the film was supposed to start filming last year, but Jonas is no longer able to fit the movie in his hectic schedule.

Financed and produced by AGC studios and presold worldwide to Cannes Film Market, ‘The Blacksmith’ a John-Wick-style actioner is an adaptation of the graphic novel by Malik Evans and Richard Sparkman. The movie portrays the story of Loomis, a weapon expert. Who has his lab destroyed and colleagues murdered, leading him to an adventurous mission.

“Nick, as you can imagine, has a lot of other commitments, with his acting and his music,” AGC CEO Stuart Ford said in his recent interview, “Under normal circumstances, he could fly in and out, go to do things over the weekend, and come back to set Monday,” he added.h

The creative team is still coping with this situation and is looking for an actor to recast the role.
