The world’s best-selling music artist with over 100 million records globally. The band of four members, each of them are specialised in different instruments. Chris Martin, the vocalist, guitarist and pianist; Jonny Buckland is the lead guitarist; Guy Berryman is a bassist and last but not least Will Champion plays the drummer.
These four met at University College London and was together from 1996-1998 and named their group Pectoralz and later changed it to Starfish then finally decided on ‘Coldplay’. Phil Harvey is the fifth member of the group but he doesn’t play any instrument but he is the manager of these four gems.
The New Album
The last album of Coldplay was in 2019, Everyday Life, which was indeed a great album that crossed over a million views. NME‘s Charlotte Krol rated the album a four-star and reviewed it as “full of eclectic sounds and ideas. Regularly steps to the left-field, proving that Coldplay is more adventurous than they’re often given credit for”.
A source has confirmed that Coldplay will be releasing a new album soon as they have been working on it since lockdown.
“Chris and Co have been dropping hints for a while but now it’s finally getting off the ground. They’ve been busy working on new music during the lockdown and it’ll all culminate in the record, which has the working title ‘Music of The Spheres’, says the Source.
“Chris and the group have now officially trademarked the name ready for an album. It also includes merchandise and everything they’d need for a tour. It’s a really exciting time for everyone. There’s no doubt this project will also go straight to the top spot”, confirmed by the sources.
