Alanis Nadine Morissette is a Canadian-American singer, a songwriter, a record producer, and an actress. She is widely known for her mezzo-soprano voice full of emotions, Morissette started her career with two moderately successful dance-pop albums.

Jagged Little Pill is the very third studio album by Alanis Morissette, released back on June 13, 1995, by Maverick. It happened to be her first album to be released globally. It recorded a stylistic separation from the dance-pop sound of her initial two albums, Alanis and Now Is the Time.
Jagged Little Pill had sold more than 33 million copies throughout the world and is Alanis’ most critically acclaimed work to date. Further, it was made into a rock musical with the same name in 2017, which received 15 Tony Award nominations moreover the Best Musical.

Alanis on the Jimmy Kimmel Live talks of it being 25 long years since “Jagged Little Pill” was released. She says that it rather feels like 25 minutes and 50 years since the release. She remembers how the situations were at the radio stations back then, they were working with only a few women singers and were hesitant to work with more. She says that they all were a part of a significant change.
Jimmy talks about the time when they interviewed Alanis Morissette at a radio station k-rock, in Los Angeles. Alanis was there at the station in the Kevin and Bean show. He also says how they had an image of her being a really scary woman but, later when they started talking they found her to be very polite.
Alanis says that she got it all out in her album itself and she then adds that how people assume that singers like Eminem and her being impolite and scary. She says that they take it out in their music and by the time they meet people, they are very considerate and pleasant. She also expressed her feelings about her album being turned into a rock musical and how emotional it has been to see her work through others.
