KissAnime and KissManga’s era ended after the website was permanently taken down from the internet. The anime fandom felt a sudden shock and was left disappointed and unhappy. The popular anime streaming website has to end after anime studios and licensors went aggressive in bringing down such piracy. Fans were certainly frustrated, but one party seems to enjoy the takedown. Crunchyroll, the anime streaming platform has now witness sudden uptake in the subscriptions.

The animation studios would be taking strict rules to control the piracy both domestically and internationally. They would also be implementing strong copyright laws to protect their work from piracy. This isn’t the first time the animation studios from Japan have taken such steps, but closing down such a popular website is the biggest achievement yet. The reports claim that the licensors and studios will now work more aggressively to prohibit more online piracy.

Kissanime is a piracy promoting website that streams animes illegally. The users using the website can stream the latest or old animes television series on the website or download them for free. Kissanime is literally the biggest anime streaming platform, even bigger than legal venues like Crunchyroll and Funimation. The report also mentioned that it was the most visited pirate site in the world.

After the website was taken down, Crunchyroll quickly was trending all over the world. The ardent anime fans had no other option but to resort to Crunchyroll o continue watching their favourite anime series. Fans are disappointed all over the world, however, they have to join Crunchyroll to enjoy anime again.

The website, in its last message, mentioned that it is thankful for the support and all those years. Kissanime started back in 2012 on .com domain and then .ru domain in 2016. The incident is regarded as the major victory over online piracy. But at the same time, fans believe the decision served as a big blow to the history of anime. KissAnime and KissManga popularized the anime and manga all over the world, as it provided access to those regions where anime streaming is legally unavailable.
