Jeopardy! Host and TV Legend ALEX TREBEK DIED Sadly At the Age of 80 After Battling Pancreatic Cancer

One of the influential TV host and media personality Alex Trebek has sadly passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday, 8th November. Trebek was mostly famous for his role as the host of the syndicated game show, Jeopardy! He has been hosting the show since its inception in 1984 and surely the Jeopardy! will miss him dearly.

The multiple reports claimed that the TV personality died due to the complications of pancreatic cancer. Even though cancer has been hurting him, TMZ reported that the Trebek died peacefully at his house on Sunday morning. Trebek’s family member was by his side when he took the last breath. He revealed that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in March 2019.

Alex Trebek continued to work as the game-show host even though he was battling such horrendous cancer. He also revealed that he had quickly started his chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed, yet continued his work. The Canadian-American actor never had the plans to retire but he has to do it through the most disheartening ways. Even though he was battling cancer, he continued working calmly and impressively, like always.

Trebek believed that giving up online would have been disrespect to his wife, family and fellow cancer patients. So he continued working as the witty game show host, to whom everyone loves and admires so much. However, he previously wondered that his life was worth fighting for as he went through a series of harrowing depression. He already knew that he had only 7 per cent of survival chances going on the second year with th cancer, but also he kept going until everything shattered with his death.

The game show’s executive producer, Mike Richards mentioned that his [Alex] commitment to work through that situation was the most inspiring example of courage he ever witnessed. He has incredibly received 31 nominations for the Daytime Emmy for his work in Jeopardy, he went to win seven of them.
