The new Tesla car is almost here, and it is here to smash records which are decades old. However, it might not be here for a while. So if you’re one of those records makers, you have some time to cherish your records before they are broken. This is a highly anticipated super-car. This super-car is expected to follow the footsteps of the first car launched by the company back in 2008. However, it may take until the year 2022 for the fans of this car to be able to go for a drive. Yes, it is an all-electric car.
The Tesla Roadster was an extremely surprising inclusion to the 2017 event that took place in the month of November. The event took place at the Tesla Design Studio. At that event, Tesla was expected to reveal the Tesla Semi Electric Truck. Elon Musk has a few plans for the all-new Tesla Roadster. He plans for it to break records, including the record of acceleration time of 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. The ‘Plaid Powertrain’ is set to provide incredible performance. The production will start in about a year, and model that will be available are: Model X, Model S and Roaster. Model 3 and Model Y will not be having the boost. This is because they are the lower end of the product line up. Musk explained that “the only thing beyond Ludicrous is Plaid,” continuing his love of cult sci-fi movie Spaceballs that emerged while promoting The Boring Company. Ludicrous is the name of the current high-performance model in the company’s vehicles, while Plaid has been previewed at hands-on events with the Roadster.
