Stranger Things is one of the most popular web series on Netflix. The series consists of three seasons for now and the fourth one is on its way.
Due to the given circumstances, production for the next release had to stop. Sources say that the filming for the fourth season shall resume in October, after the six months gap.
The thrilling season 3 finale
After the poignant finale of the third season which premiered on July 4 last year it is one of those shows where we impatiently wait for the next season to come out.
The third season ends with us finding out that Jim Hopper vanished into thin air without a trace. Eventually, he is assumed to be dead. But in fact, he is a prisoner of the Russian gulag. There he comes face to face with many threats both human and those other mysterious things. On the other side of the story in the states, a horrifying terror is about to surface, something ancient. And something which is sure to connect all the dots and will wreck chaos in the Hawkins town.
Not much has been released regarding the details of the fourth season. Due to this huge gap, many fans grew sceptic as to whether there will be a season four or not. But we do know that it will delve deeper into the mythology and resurrect David Harbour’s character Jim Hopper.
The filming for thee latest season started early this year but had to be shut down due to the global pandemic.
When will Season 4 be released?
Since they will resume the production in October, we can expect it to be on the screen sometime in next year 2021. However, if they still do not begin the filming, the release date might be pushed further into 2022.
The show will be produced by the amazing Duffer Brothers together with Shawn Levy, Iain Peterson and Dan Cohen. The cast is set to return to the sets and reprise their respective roles.
Basically, it will take at least six months to be launched on to the Netflix streaming platform after the filming is completed. Chances are that they will wrap up in early 2021 which leads to the release sometime late next year.

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is not the end yet. Season four is not the last one of the show as confirmed by Ross Duffer. He stated, “We know what the end is, and we know when it is. [The delay] has given us time to look ahead, figure out what is best for the show. Starting to fill that out gave us a better idea of how long we need to tell that story.”
