Peaky Blinders Season 6 Release Date
Originally, Peaky Blinders Season 6 was anticipated during the end of the year 2020. This is because most of the seasons of Peaky Blinders, if not all have been released around the same time. But currently, a September release of the Peaky Blinders is highly unlikely.
The episodes have been written down, and the season has started with pre-production. Unfortunately due to coronavirus, the filming has been put on hold. But luckily for us fans, several UK broadcasters, including the BBC, are planning to begin filming without adhering to 2-metre separation rule by increasing symptom checks and tests on cast members. Hopefully, this will result in the production of Peaky Blinders’ sixth series will start sooner than we thought.
Regardless of the complicated nature of this developing scenario, the earliest we can expect season 6 of Peaky Blinders is late 2021.
Who Is In The Cast Of Peaky Blinders?
Cillian Murphy will return in the role of Tommy Shelby, for which he has received widespread critical acclaim. The other main character casts are also expected to return. They include Paul Anderson who played Arthur Shelby, Harry Kirton who played Finn Shelby and Sophie Rundle who played Ada Thorne.
There is also a mystery addition to the cast which, according to director Anthony Byrne is a great female character who is new. She is pretty dark. I haven’t seen a character like her in Peaky before.
Although Tommy’s first wife Grace was murdered during series three, we saw her return in season five to haunt her former husband and she even appeared in the season finale, with Tommy talking to her as he held a gun to his head. Annabelle Wallis, who plays Grace, hinted on Twitter that she may return for season six, writing that Grace “has some unfinished business”.
So far there is no confirmed news whether or not Cillian Murphy will survive the season 6, but he just might because of how popular he is amongst the fans of the show. Guess the final result can only be told when season 6 is released.
