Most of us don’t know that darkness that the music industry brings into the lives of the artists who fill our lives with light. While Kanye West and Taylor Swift don’t really have anything in common, the common thing about them is they’re both in the music industry. Last year, Taylor Swift spoke up and tried to fight for her masters. However, the world did not support her. Now that Kanye West is in the same battle, Swifties think it is Kanye West who’s facing the Karma.

Taylor Swift took it to Tumblr to look for support to fight for her masters. She also mentioned that her former label, Big Machine Records, had been sold to Braun. Meaning that he owned the rights to the master recordings of all of her past music. Including her first six albums. That is almost a decade of emotions right there.
“All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years,” Swift wrote of the news, citing the leaked call and the “Famous” video as examples. “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work,” she added. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”
Now, a year later, Kanye West is in a similar type of fight. He tweeted; “The artist deserve to own our masters … artist are starving without tours … Ima go get our masters … for all artist … pray for me,”
“When you sign a music deal you sign away your rights,” West wrote in another tweet. Trying to explain the dilemma to his fans. “Without the masters, you can’t do anything with your own music. Someone else controls where it’s played and when it’s played. Artists have nothing [except] the fame, touring and merch.”
