FAKE ALARM CHECK: NO, THE UPDATE ON GTA 6 WAS NOT OFFICIAL
The new GTA 6 “update” has been confirmed as a false alarm. This week, the Rockstar Support Twitter handle responded to a user looking for info on the next installment in the series. The response generated great hype. Credits go to the articles that blindly promoted it as significant, not realizing it is a standard Rockstar Support response. This means, if you’re expecting GTA 6 to be revealed because of this tweet, you are in for some really serious disappointment.
For those that didn’t see the interaction on social media, Rockstar Support confirmed that there was no news to share at that moment. Because there isn’t. If there were, Rockstar Games would have shared it already. Since the company doesn’t use events to reveal its games, it can do everything on its own time. So, when GTA 6 is ready to be released, it will be released. No more complications.
There is no news on that topic yet. Please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official updates: https://t.co/i1zkZw0nsH *KG

This isn’t all that the tweet included. It followed up this “no news” confirmation along with a “please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official updates.” Next, some mistakingly took this second part as something noteworthy, not knowing this is the standard Rockstar Support response. It always responds to questions of this variety with something such as this.
If you saw headlines and videos that hinted towards this direction, well, it is not what they say. This doesn’t mean GTA 6 is not arriving soon. It very well could be, but this isn’t any hint of that happening.
Fans are extremely eager for GTA 6 to come out. It seems like the game is going to arrive in the headlines soon (this time for real). Stay tuned for more updates.
