The next phone from the OnePlus is probably the OnePlus 8T and the OnePlus 8T Pro, before the next-generation OnePlus flagship phones. But, the latest report claims that OnePlus 8T Pro may not be coming this year. If the phone doesn’t debut this year, then we probably have to wait longer for the release of next flagship phone, the OnePlus 9 series.
Elsewhere, there are reports claiming that the OnePlus 8T phone will not release after all. Instead of releasing the OnePlus 8T, the company will launch the next flagship phone series — the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro. The company recently launched the first-ever mid-range phone and plans to release a new entry-level smartphone.
OnePlus 9 Release Date
The smartphone manufacturer has certainly started working on the new OnePlus phones. But before we could see the next flagship, there are few other phones in the line, the OnePlus 8T and the rumoured OnePlus Lite, or OnePlus Clover. OnePlus released the new generation of flagship phones every year. So, we can safely assume that the OnePlus 9 series will release in early 2021.
OnePlus 9 Price
We can never clearly guess the price of the new OnePlus phones. Each year, the manufactures come with several new premium components that increase the overall value of the phone. This year’s OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is reportedly the most expensive OnePlus phone ever made. The OnePlus 8’s starting price is $699 and the price of 8 Pro started from $899.
So, considering how OnePlus phones have evolved, we can assume the OnePlus 9’s price to cost around $749-$799. The reports also mentioned that OnePlus next phone will feature the next-generation flagship chipset from Qualcomm — Snapdragon 875. If the OnePlus 9 featured the Snapdragon 875, expect even more starting price of the new phone.
OnePlus 9 Specifications
It is very much early to talk about the specification of the upcoming OnePlus phone. But, the phone will certainly have improved functions and performance over the OnePlus 8. The phone will also feature the upcoming chipset from Qualcomm, which will launch later this year. A higher resolution camera, a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 4K screen, larger battery are the other few upgrades the next OnePlus phone will likely have.
