Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets will face-off tonight in the Western Conference Round 2, in the NBA Bubble, near Orlando. Lakers haven’t played a game since Saturday when they eliminated Portland Trailblazers 4-1 in the Round 1. Rockets lifted their defence game on Game 7 against OKC Thunder and defeated them 4-3 on the best-of-game series.

Rockets have been good in their offensive play and lacked in defence, but they seem to overcome the minus point against Thunder. Even James Harden showed his defensive qualities at the clutch victory against Thunder. Harden who averaged the best points per game in the NBA 2020, played little low in the department scoring just 17 points on Wednesday.
Lakers-Rockets fixture would be the only second playoff match-wp where two players from each team averaging over 25 PPG in the season. Lakers’ LeBron James/ Anthony Davis and Rockets’ James Harden and Rusell Westbrook averaged over 25 PPG this season. Lakers both players have been consistent on both defence and offence. Davis dropped 43 points while James dropped 36 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists triple-double during their win against Trailblazers.
Lakers defence will further boost when guard Rajon Rondo returns in the court on Friday, after missing previous matches due to broken right thumb in July. When they previously met inside the NBA Bubble, Rockets defeated Lakers 113-97.
