IPHONE 12: THE NEW CATCH
Apple is set to launch yet another range, with many upgrades and new features, making the new model futureproof. The new model is expected to land very soon, somewhere near the end of September or the starting of October. Rumours tell that the new model will be out with numerous improvements and changes. The new apple range will feature major updates, introducing some of the first design changes that we’ve seen since the iPhone X which was released in 2017. Also, four iPhones are expected to come out in three display sizes which could come in at 5.4, 6.7, and 6.1 inches (x2).

Clearly, the camera is one of the most loved features of an iPhone. A lot of reports and sources suggest that iPhone lovers are going to see some big changes to the camera on each device.
The major change is most likely to be the addition of the liDAR scanner, basically like what we’ve seen on the iPad Pro 2020. This will enable us to accurately judge distances and therefore depth and would allow for improved augmented reality and Portrait mode. It is also said that the basic iPhone models (12 and Max) will have two camera lenses and no liDAR scanner, but the advanced models would have triple lenses and smart features.
iPhone 12 TO BE MADE IN INDIA?
Apple has so far, successfully localized the production of 5 iPhone models in India, and is now planning to start the production of iPhone 12 in the country. Reports also say that the new manufacturing plant will be kicked off somewhere in the middle of 2021. The giant already started assembling several of its existing models in the country back in 2017(iPhone 11 and iPhone XR). The new model which is yet to be officially announced will be reportedly the 7th iPhone model to be made in India.
ALSO NEW: 5G TECHNOLOGY
In 2020. Apple plans to switch back to Qualcomm modem chips instead of Intel chips, In order to use the Qualcomm 5G technology. Therefore, all four new models are to use the Qualcomm X55 chips, which offers 7 Gb/s peak download speeds and 3 Gb/s upload speeds, though the numbers shown are theoretical maximums, the actual speed will depend on carrier network. The chip will be Qualcomm’s first 5G chip that supports all major frequency bands, operation modes, and network deployments.

- It was also revealed that the newer and upcoming models will not come with the wired Ear Pods included in the box, according to reports, this strategy will increase the demand for apple Airpods and also help in cutting down iPhone 12 cost.
- The iPhone 12 lineup is rumoured to be rolling out with “Apple new” service bundle options which provide the users with services like Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple News+ for a single monthly fee.
